Hotel Villa Smeraldo is situated on the Giannella dune, between Orbetello and Porto Santo Stefano.

The dune of Giannella is a tombolo which has a length of about 6 km and an average width of about 300 metres, it spreads from Monte Argentario till the mouth of river Albegna. It is washed by Tyrrhenian Sea on the north-west and by the lagoon of Orbetello on the south-east side.

We are an ideal starting point for excursions either along the coast or towards the inland. The boarding towards the islands of Giglio and Giannutri is only 5 minutes away by car, in Porto Santo Stefano. About 30 minutes away by car there is the hill on which is situated Magliano, a town with very nice city walls, and other medieval and characteristic tows, such as Pitigliano, Sovana and Vulci, which are rich in Etruscan history.
